Don't you dare staring at me by Nanook94 Don't you dare staring at me by Nanook94
This is why I don't draw anythg without model actually. because it's always getting the same and becomes BORING.
Soooo this one was more to try new stuffs and new styles than to make some horror-kitchy-random-thing. Your comments will be very appeciated, so that I know if I should develope this style or not. ;)

Thanks a lot dear! =) Hmm nope I used a big black pen for the black background and lines of the fox :) But otherwise, watercoulor and white gouache are my secret. ;)

There's probably no worse insult than saying that your own work is kitschy, I sincerely don't think so, but I digress.
Ah, this fox certainly looks fierce! Eyes blood-shot with range and his mouth seems to be cursing the fates! Quite powerful really. I love how you did his outlines, thick and prominent, a nice strong black! I get a touch of despair from it.
And the background, nice and messy! I really admire how you made all the strokes there to go in a different direction than the fox and yet keep everything looking nice and flowy! Ack, and the blood... It's an explosion! Going out like that. it's very impressionistic. Kind of reminds me of Debussy's music! You have all these thick harmonies in the background, which are more like tone colours (emotions) than actual 'musical progressions' like in older music, and you have these shimmers coming out! The melody like a bird suspended in flight~ Same here, where the fox is kind of trying to get away from the confusion and everything, do you kind of get me?

I think this style is great! In my own uninformed and probably incorrect opinion I have to say that it's a tad too messy here, but this is only something quick, right? I'm sure that as soon as you do more everything will look absolutely fabulous, and it already looks quite stunning!

You can't really take any artistic advice from me! I can barely hold a pen. :P
Well, this work had a rather musical quality to it, which is always nice. :)

rhooo stop being so modest! do you ''le carré rouge''? what a... beauutiful piece... :dead: but oh so popur! :ohnoes: So, 1) I think you draw great, becaus of the few little things I've seen from you. 2)not to hold pen doesn't mean you can't critizise or make any artistic advice! ;)
so... thank you. :P

Oh, you do me too much honour!
I've never heard of ''le carré rouge'', I mean I know of a rap... something with the same name, but is that what you're talking about?
Nah, thank-you for making these wonderful works that are so nice to look at!

well, it's only a red ''carré'' on white background that a super-awesome artist painted once. And now it has travelled the whole world! XD I don't remember if it was a circle maybe... don't know. Anyway, very imaginative! XD

Ah, silly me, I thought you were talking about music! =P
Well, are you talking about K. Malevich? It could be him I think he was the first, then there are less famous ones who made beautiful minimalistic works, like Van Doesburg, Piet Mondrian, Ad Reihardt...
Heh, talking about squares, I remember Josef Albers spent twenty five years just making squares! My favourite squares are from Victor de Vasarely though, he's got a philosophy much like one of my favourite minimalist musicians, Philip Glass (who is wonderful, in my next letter I'll send a CD =)).
